Mellow would retire with six-figure pensionFrom the Scranton Times Tribune: Sen. Robert Mellow, D-22, Peckville, is looking at a six-figure annual taxpayer-funded state pension when he leaves the Senate in November. Whether the pension will equal Mr. Mellow's annual $110,350 Senate salary or exceed it remains to be determined by the State Employees Retirement System. Mr. Mellow, 67, announced this week he won't seek re-election to an 11th term and will wrap up a Senate career that began in 1970. |
